The night of the Ghouls

Well Halloween is almost here. I am going to a wedding that evening. The shower for this person was a costume party and it was fun!
I will mis though handingout all the treats at the door and seeing all the little ghouls in costumr.
We have a little ghost that hangs and whenit hears noiseit willmove and shake and make ghost noises. The little kids love it!
I lways buy bags of candy and save my favorite to give out last. Not my fault when I gain 5 pounds the next week. Not enough kids came! :)
My fav candy is Peanut Butter Cups,Hershey Ksses, and Three Mukateers. Through in some Peppermint Patties,Rolos and M&M's and there ya have 5 pounds!

Time is marching on

Well summer is over and the cool winds of autumn will be showing up soon. I nevr much cared for autumn as I love the warmth of summer but have learned to appreciate the beauty of fall as I have grown older.

I have done a layout about my warmth. Now with autumn so close I am thinkig about my flannel jammies and fleece tops and pants thta I love so much in the winter. It also makes me think about the warmth I feel when my daughter hugs me or my son gives me that certain smile. Or when one of them call just to see how I am doing.
The layout has both these layers of warmth. My daughter made a blanket for her boyfriend so he could be warm and the warmth that they shared we saw it. Priceless!

Coldplay

Ok I have this obsession with Cold Play. I heard the song on the commrcial on tv and loved it. The visuals and song just seemed to go so well together! So on to You Tube and found lots of videos. I started watching Viva La Vida from concerts they has performed and I was hooked. Re cently they finally made an official video , that can be seen here http://www.youtube.com/coldplayingTV. They also did a fun video that is pretty good and I found out they are going to be 2 hours away in concert!

Ok now summer is over and I have not kept up with my journaling! Here is a quick re-cap of what has been going on.
I still have manymonths to wait for LOST. Dare I say I am LOST without it. I am not obsessing over it (ok I am) but with the start of the new fall season I am thinking about it again.

I have actually been scrapping. I have three projects started for my college age daughter and another one on my table. I can't seem to finish. I have been doing some challenges at http://scrapattackscrapbooking.com/,. They are great fun and you can collect awesome charms. I was doing my daughters High School grad scrap book and did about 4 pages then decided to move on to another subject. LOL No wonder I can't finish anything. I did go to an all day crop where I got a grand total of 2 layouts done! TA DA!!!!
For my birthday I went out to dinner with the fam and then some friends took me to lunch. Thanks Maryjane and Deb. I always enjoy eating out with friends. My pal at http://www.tallyscrapper.com/ sent me the cutest card with the word WICKED emblazoned on it. It also playe dth emusic from the flying monkeys on th eWizard of Oz. I totally loved it cause I loved Wicked. I cannot think about the Wizard of OZ the same anymore!

The flower garden still looks good though some flowers are dying. The tomatoes are ripening now and I just had my first of the season. YUM YUM!
This does not seem like much of a summer but with working and a sick cat to tend to it was very busy!
The weather this month has not been warm. YUCK! I di dget to sit out some though and enjoyed it. At work I try to go outside on my breaks cause I cannot get enough fresh air!
Ok going out now so will be keeping up with this more I hope!

LOST

I have not talked about to much besides scrapping and today I have decided to five LOST the spotlight!

It is a new way (that is being copied quickly) to tell a story. And it tells it well. It is great to watch even if you don't get into theories and discussing them. Just the way the story fluctates and changes is so exciting.

I started off really liking Locke. He was like my hero but he changed into someone I am not sur ei llike. I also love Hurley and now Sawyer is starting to act human. AND I miss Charlie so Freaking much.

Face it you can't help but find something in MOST of the characters to like.

Well we have not had much rain this month but it is coming. Warmer weather is also on the horizon.

Spring

Hopefully with an early Easter the warm weather is close behind. We had a great day yesterday with the weather in the 40's That is something to cheer about here! Today it is cold again. I know we always have a St.Patrick Day storm so we have that to look froward to . I also have two weddings in April.

We have a great Savvy Scrappers club where you can earn points to use in the store. A new card club has also been created and I am looking forward to seeing all the cards that I can draw inspiration from! I have really been on a card making kick.

This layout was for a challenge and as soon as I saw the pics I knew this paper would be great for

them. I painted the JOY the stamped them with a swirl stamp that I painted with a marker.

My new purchase

I went to a class and made a cute book. I will post it when Ifinish making another one. I also bought some stamps and punches! They are interchangeable and I cannot wait to play with them. Soon I hope.

One cold day......

Today it is cold and windy. We have recieved a small amount of snow. That makes me happy.

Thursday Thursday!!!

Yesterday was Ash Wednsday. My daughter reminded me and picked me up so that we could recieve them. I love the chapel at the college. It is so pretty and comfortable. It was good to see many of the boys there.
I also have my scrap room almost all picked up I am so happy so I can now begin again to get some scrapping done. Hopefully starting Saturday!
Lost just finished and as usual it is begs more questions then it answers. What the heck is going on. And as far as I am concerened they can take Ben and through him off a cliff. All he does is shoot people!
On another Blog they were talking about Blogging about candy you enjoyed as a child. I remember we used to get candy for a penny! Yes I am that old! We would buy these chewy green mint candies that were 2 for a penny. The poor women that worked at the store would go nuts counting them out for us! I also remember Mallow cups and we would collect the points that came with them! Pixie Stix,Dollars,Bottle Caps, Bazooka and many more!

I'm Lost

Well it is Tuesday and it is just two more days till Lost! The second shoe of the season is almost here. There are so many questions to answer and the more you watch the more questions you have! Do you watch Lost? Tell me your theories!
Today is also Super Tuesday. Who will win? Who will pick up the most states? We will find out soon! So Iam Lost because I love the show and because I am not sure yet how I am voting.

Happy February

The ground hog saw his shadow but I believe in Spring. I believe,I believe, I believe!Anyway many fun things are going on around me. First sunshine which I like but only because it is not snowing. I mostly want warmth and that will happen soon cause I believe!Anyway at MBI we had an interview with Tim Holtz. What have you used?I love his products and have had a chance to use grunge board. Here is one of the projects I made with it! I love the swirls the most of all the designs! I like to see some of the color of the grungboard peeking through. If you don't you can add more color and use a brayer to spread it. My friend was over when I working on these and she called me inkaholic! Imagine!

We have just appointed some new moderators at MBI! It is so great because these ladies will add so much to the group. They are very talented and excited. They bubble over with enthusiasm. Yeah for the new mods. Thanks for joining us!

More excitement is my daughter made the Academic Team for soccer at college! She works very hard and deserves every good thing the world has to offer. Besides that she is a caring person to everyone. We are so proud of her!

My first entry

I love this place!!! So many things to do and learn. I am so excited.Lots of fun things have been happening lately!! If anyone has any hints or tricks on how I can learn this blogging system please I let me know. The first thing I can't make it indent to start a new paragraph. Honestly what am I a 5 year old. Wait they could figure it out! I am scrapping tomorrow and need to get my supplies ready! I am working with grungeboard and it is fantastic! Tim Holtz will be talking to us at Memorybook Inspirations! I am so excited. I will post more later as details unfold.
